Automatic Travelling Saws
Boston Matthews design and manufacture a range of travelling saws for the accurate and repeatable sawing of extruded tubes, pipes and profiles completely in-line.
The saw automatically detects and reaches line speed before the sawing process in order to produce a clean, square, accurate cut length at all times.
The range includes a number of saw sizes to meet with the exact product requirements.
The "vanishing" saw table curtain greatly reduces the overall footprint which in turn saves valuable production floor space and provides and safer working environment.
Swarf collection is also available.

Boston Matthews AS Saws are constructed from a solid, heavy-weight frame to ensure movement and vibration free sawing.
The AS Saws are designed with a small footprint (including operational footprint) for easy of integration into any extrusion facility.
Designed so that the saw carriage does not increase the footprint during operation.
AS Saws have a clear, simple operator control facia for ease of use by the operator. Optional PLC Touch-Screen Control is available.
All Cutters are CE Marked with fully enclosed interlocked safety guarding fitted as standard.
All cutters are easily integrated with any existing extrusion line. A signal from the Caterpillar take-off is required.
